Summary:
The Google Drive workshop purpose is mainly to discuss the benefits of document creation features of Google Docs with a cloud computing solution that keeps your content updated and synchronized and available across the web. Students will be shown how they can easily access documents through any device with an internet connection such as computer, tablet or phone.
In this workshop students will be introduced to the essentials for creating, formatting, sharing, and editing Google documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and forms. The workshop also introduces the new Google Drive homepage, the Google Drive sync folder, and file management on the online web drive as well as some privacy issues.
Audience & Format
The workshop is targeted for both students and tutors interested in getting to know how to work collaboratively at a distance.
Access to a personal computer or smartphone and Internet are mandatory.
Organizers will give a brief introduction (approximately 60 minutes) about the tools available in the Google Drive applications (Pixrl & Animoto). Afterwards, the attendees, will be invited to explore the applications and create, edit and share their own contents - hands-on approach.
